Have you ever wondered what stories a house would tell about its residents? Come and explore Bloomsbury’s fascinating history through the story of one house – 49 Great Ormond Street – and the people who lived there.

Using a lively combination of narration and song, The Good Companions will show how momentous events in London and beyond affected the property’s inhabitants and made Bloomsbury the place it is today.

The house itself will serve as the backdrop, with the performance taking place in its beautiful music room on the ground floor.

Written and performed by The Good Companions, a group founded in Bloomsbury, who are dedicated to preserving the music of the past – particularly the music hall genre – for the enjoyment of new generations.

This show is produced in conjunction with the owner of 49 Great Ormond Street, who has extensively researched the history of the property for his book An Address In Bloomsbury.
