Using examples from classic and contemporary crime fiction, you will study the key building blocks of the genre, including:
The crime at the heart of your story How the plot begins to take shape The investigator's or viewpoint character's role The suspects, and the clues, and building suspense on the page By the end of the session, you should have a stronger sense of how your own idea will take form and how the main elements of a crime story work together. If you have started writing crime fiction and want to progress your story, this session is for you.
